Our GPS and Galileo receiver have been successfully launched via a SpaceX rocket today (15th of January) at 07:11 and are heading towards the moon.
We would like to thank the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, and the president of the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, Teodoro Valente, for their support on this mission.
We are now operative 24/7 in our control room where we will be supporting the payload operations in its journey towards the lunar orbit and landing. We look forward to the operation in the next days, experimenting with our positioning system while the rocket is going into deep space.
This mission is a collaboration between the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration, with QASCOM developing the GNSS payload and the Politecnico di Torino for scientific support.
